FNBG has openings for full-time Customer Service Representatives at our Griggsville and Mt. Sterling locations. We are seeking self-motivated individuals who are willing to adhere to all policies and procedures established by our institution.
The successful candidates would possess good communication skills both written and verbal, a positive working attitude, confidence with handling large monetary transactions and customer service skills.

Credit Analyst 

Mt. Sterling location

Farmers National Bank of Griggsville is seeking a full-time Credit Analyst to join our team at our Mt. Sterling location. This position provides a great opportunity to learn about commercial lending and credit analysis while supporting our lending team in making informed, strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to develop their skills in the banking and lending industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating loan applications, including financial analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessment.
  • Conduct credit analysis and review of financial statements to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
  • Support senior lenders in structuring and underwriting loan products for business and individual clients.
  • Prepare loan documentation, ensuring compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Monitor and track loan portfolios, identifying potential risks and providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the lending team to ensure a smooth loan origination and approval process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, offering assistance as needed and supporting client needs.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, financial markets, and regulatory changes that impact lending decisions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in commercial lending and credit analysis.
  • Previous internship or experience in banking or finance is a plus but not required.

Junior Agricultural Lender

Mt. Sterling location

Department: Agricultural Lending
Reports To: Senior Lender/EVP

Position Overview:
The Junior Agricultural Lender supports the agricultural lending team by assisting with loan origination, credit analysis, and portfolio management. This role is designed to provide foundational experience in agricultural finance, offering opportunities to develop expertise in evaluating financial risk, structuring loan terms, and managing relationships with agricultural clients. The position involves working closely with senior lenders and customers to support the growth of agricultural businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loan Application Review and Credit Analysis: Assist in evaluating
  •  loan applications from agricultural clients, reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and other supporting documentation to assess financial health and repayment ability.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to gather necessary financial information, address inquiries, and update them on the progress of their loan applications.
  • Loan Structuring and Documentation: Collaborate with senior lenders to structure loan terms and repayment schedules. Prepare and review loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Help monitor existing loan portfolios by tracking loan performance, conducting periodic reviews, and identifying any potential risks or issues.
  • Market Research: Stay informed on agricultural industry trends, market conditions, and economic factors that may affect lending decisions and risk assessments.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance, such as organizing loan files, preparing reports, and ensuring documentation is filed appropriately.

Work Environment and Additional Notes:
The Junior Agricultural Lender will be expected to work in an office environment but may also have some opportunities for field visits to meet with clients and gain a better understanding of the agricultural industry. The role offers growth potential within the agricultural lending team, with opportunities to advance as experience is gained.
